Career Readiness Leads

The Career Readiness Lead initiative empowers district-level leaders to champion self-discovery and career exploration for students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Each participating district has a dedicated Career Readiness Lead who oversees the implementation of age-appropriate RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) activities throughout the PK-8 curriculum. By infusing these activities, the initiative aims to:

  • Foster self-awareness and self-confidence among students by helping them explore their unique interests, strengths, and values from an early age.
  • Introduce students to diverse career paths and opportunities that align with their personal attributes, sparking curiosity and motivation for future career exploration.
  • Develop essential skills such as problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and communication through engaging, real-world activities.
  • Build a strong foundation for future career planning and decision-making, empowering students to navigate their educational and professional journeys with purpose and passion.
